I am a dutch artist and Children's Book Illustrator living in Dorset. Inspired by this beautiful area of the UK I strive to capture its atmosphere and colours in oils, acrylics and water colours. I paint animals, landscapes, seascapes, humorous still lives, portraits and more. Now I am a grandmother, I paint also for children, showing their innocence. My series 'The Wonderful World' shows children at play in a nostalgic series of paintings, of which a few are shown on this site.
I have participated in group exhibitions and received in 2013 a Highly Commended certificate from the SAA (Society for All Artists) for one of my paintings.
